Nincada
Type: Bug / Ground
Abilities: Compound Eyes (Increases Nincada's move accuracy by 1.3x) / Run Away (No Competitive Use)
Stats:
HP: 31
Attack: 45
Defense: 90
Special Attack: 30
Special Defense: 30
Speed: 40
Base Stat Total: 266
Overview:
Now I know what you're thinking, why the hell would I use Nincada? The answer is simple; it's a surprising anti-meta Toxic Stalling Physical Wall. With Eviolite and max investment its Defense stat shoots to over 450. Bug / Ground has some key resistances including Fighting, Ground, and Poison and an immunity to Electric moves. Along with this, it has a neutrality to Rock type moves and Stealth Rock, which a lot of Bug type Pokemon don't have the luxury of. It can take massive hits from a multitude of Pokemon on the Physical side and force them out. While this may sound amazing, keep in mind that Nincada has an incredibly lackluster Special Defense and an even worse Attack stat, meaning unless the hit is Super Effective Nincada won't be doing much. However if it use Nincada as a Toxic Stalling Physical Wall, with proper prediction you won't be disappointed.
Set #1: From The Ground To The Town (Eviolite Physical Wall)
EVs: 252 HP, 4 Atk, 252 Def
Nature: Impish (+ Def, - SpA)
Item: Eviolite
Ability: Compound Eyes
Moves:
Toxic
Protect
Leech Life
Substitute
Set Description:
244 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Nincada: 61-72 (22.9 - 27%) -- 44.1% chance to 4HKO
As you can see, Nincada is a Physical monster. Landorus-T can mostly only 5HKO it with Stone Edge, and its STAB Earthquake does even less damage. Simply Toxic, Leech Life when Protect is on cooldown, and watch your opponent flail angrily at the wrath of the ultimate Bug type. Substitute is for additional mind games. This set is all about stalling and prediction, and you won't have to worry about Toxic missing thanks to Compound Eyes. Just keep it away from Special Attackers, especially Tapu Fini.
Other Options: Nincada's movepool is... decidedly limited. It has access to Endure and Final Gambit, but has no reason to use them. Stick to Nincada's one highly specialized niche.
